Gifts For Your Pet's Best Friend
PHOTOGRAPHY
Claws 'n Paws welcomes the opportunity of taking photographs of your pets.
We do not charge for the actual photo session (digital).

These photos can be taken of your 'Best Friend', or of you and your 'family.' They can be taken at your home (outdoors) within the realm of the city, or at my favourite place - the banks of the Saint John River in Carleton Park (northside).

Unfortunately I have several limitations re time of the photography.  Thanks to contracting Polio many years ago, I am now confined to an electric scooter, thus only do photography outdoors from April thru October - the cool weather just makes it too difficult for me to operate my camera.

However, after I do the photography, I will supply you with a contact sheet of the best photos.  From your favourite shots we can then make plans to create items as listed (see the left-hand column)  - a minimum  order of $25.

Samples of my dog and city photography can be seen at the Coasters link as well as at Fredericton Keepsakes (website not up and running yet)
Background:
As a child I always had a camera in my hands taking pictures of either our dogs (German Shepherds) or of members of our equine family (ponies and Standardbreds).  Once I entered the workforce I took a photography course from the local YMCA and developed a love for scenic photography.

While living in Montreal I joined the Montreal Camera Club. Here I improved my 'eye' for 'the 'perfect' shot from the weekly critique, and at the end of my 8 years stay in the big city, I was asked to judge several competitions.  As a result of Polio as a young child I have been unable to handle heavy and/or complicated photography equipment so 'point and shoot' has basically been my tool.  I believe you can have the best equipment money can buy, but if you don't have an 'eye' for photography, then your chances of having a 'winner' are limited.

After I moved back to Fredericton in 1980 I joined Photo Fredericton and was fortunate to have a couple of my scenic photos accepted in a cross-Canada exhibit.  Photography then took a back-seat for a few years while I pursued other interests in the sporting world.  In 1994 dogs again became an important part of my life.  With the introduction of digital cameras, photo enchancement software, and the encouragement of my sister, photography again became an important part of my life.
